a kirin that is seemingly manmade, yet lives and breathes with a life of its own.
it uses its tail tipped with a nib to communicate and draw, in gold or black ink.
it has a lesser known, longer draconic form. with this, it is much more capable of creating small pocket worlds out of ink, which is uses to travel to further places.
dakwat was one of joon's bigger favourite mysteries. the concept of a creature that could walk anywhere simply by walking into its own ink world interested her, and it did not take long for her to encounter this particular fella. her trip to the library became a source of oddity when she rounded a corner and stumbled into a marbled area that completely did not match the rest of the library's decor, and a few twist and turns later, dakwat emerged from a marble column. on seeing joon, it quickly fled by means of another column. despite her giving chase into the exact same spot, she ended up back into the normal library, in a completely different section to where she was. (why did she end up in the children's shelves? on the second floor?)
essentially, dakwat was capable of creating its own inner world, and the marbled area was its 'domain'. somehow, the chance encounter occured because dakwat itself was "roaming" near the library, having being attracted to the books from the forest nearby. a few clues could be found by way of small ink drops on the library's carpet.
